spell check

Post by fordman »

i know this was reinstalled in the last move from one server to this one. but it has never seemed to work right since then. i noticed kieth said inthe chatroom that he hasnt found a good one to work with this new forum. what it does is flag almost every word even if it is spelled correctly. is this me or is this thing not actually working right? and what does the learn button do? does it teach the spell software that it made a mistake?

No, it not you. it's just not working right. Actually, I'd almost forgotten about it. I'll do some tweaking on it tonight after work and see if I can get it working properly.

I find it funny that "Keith" is misspelled.

for something off topic of this. kind of. years ago. where i used to live but not for long. soem of a certain crowd of people started using an I in there name at the end to replace the Y at the end of thier name. Well to be a little different too. I think. on my daughters birth certificate we spelled her name with a I at the end so her name is Patti in stead of patty. but we may have put patrica (if that is spelled right) on the certificate. i dont remember. But we did teach her to use the name as patti. so that she would be different in the crowd somehow. oh so anyway her name is prononced the same. but the crowd of guys were using the I and making thier names sound like rand I insitead of randy.

I remember Dionne Warwick changed her last name to Warwicke, just to look pretentious I guess. Marvin Gaye's real last name was Gay, also.
