Nice find! Looks like a solid foundation for a heck of a nice bump build.

Looks and sounds like a great deal! As for motor choice and paint colors, they are really just a personal choice but honestly, I really like these trucks in two tone colors. Enjoy the build!

Welcome to our site.

I'd get it running and buff it out and drive it before tearing it apart for paint.
A 302 is a good engine , but I like more cubes, 390s are period correct and a good choice .
If I was starting from scratch I'd put in a 429. :2cents:

I've owned and have been working on our bumps and dents for over 35 years now and never seen that mirror. Am also betting that you won't find FoMoCo stamped on it anywhere?
As far as I know the 69' had two different mirror options. One being the West Coast Jr you see on most F-250 & F-350's and this one:
Is that a Model-A in the background?

Hard to find our trucks "unmolested" by someone anymore.
That 1927 Whippet would be my focus instead of the truck, (even as much as I love bumps) LOL!
You've got a nice starting point on the truck though.
