Hi, JG 100!

I really like this build thread you have going here.

Also, I really like your wheels....

Any info that you are willing to provide on them? Brand (manufacturer/supplier), offsets, pcd?

Looking forward in your feedback.

Keep up the progress on the truck :fr:

JG F100 wrote:well I didn't get to do as much on the rear as I had planned. I'm using an explorer rear and wanted to do a four-link but ended up using the leafs for now. I did get a shorter driveshaft and since the 8.8 uses a flange got that one too. I was able to reuse the ubolts and explorer shock mounts if I rotated them. The angle is a little off but it seems to work even with the old shocks. There isnt much room between the axle and frame, may notch it later. I still need to set the pinion angle and weld on the spring perches.

cleaned up and brushed on some rustoleum then sprayed some undercoating on the bed

I should have matching wheels soon, need to get some tires...

thats it for now.
Everyone's always driving their fancy cars, but for some reason it is always the ol'FORD that is relied on when the fancy car breaks. :D :D :D

Just poking my old build thread, still have the truck and enjoy driving it when I can. I'm way busier now and haven't had much time for more progress, I'd like to get AC for it. Had to change the rack and pinion last week, it started leaking a lot.

For those who PM me asking about my wheel specs, I do not remember exactly what they were but they are in this thread somewhere. 20x10 in back and 20x8.5 in front, custom ordered from Raceline Wheels.

What type of clamps are these and where did you get them?

Their butt weld clamps.
They clamp from both sides so both pieces are flush.
The draw bar that tightens the clamp also keeps the two panels properly spaced for welding.

Best/cheapest place to get them....Harbor Freight 8 pack for $8
