i finally got around to starting my own thread about my new bump i picked this up about a year ago i payed $800 big ed made me a good deal because he seen all the cars i had been fixing up and he didnt want it to go to bad home it was his dads truck his dad bought it brand new and neither ed or his father put many miles on it. i was offerd $1200 for it but i decilned the offer lol

since i got it
-i have replaced all 4 wheel clyinders
-got rid of the split rims
-put in a seat from a 92 f-250
-duct tape covered the headliner
-fan clutch from a 73 lincoln
-bypassed the coolant in the carb spacer thingy
-changed the oil
-got rid of the dash pad
-new old gauges

i have been toying with the roll bar idea a little

the worst rust in the whole truck ed left the bed (hey that rhymes) full of coal and it traped the moisture which cause the bed to rust out :cry:

Real...good start with bid Ed bump. Especially loving the price! does the winch work on the front? If so, it's almost worth what you paid for thew whole truck around here. :thup:

SOLD-71 F-350 dually flatbed, 302 / .030 over V-8 with a "baby"C-6, B & M truckshifter, Dana70/4.11 ratio, intermittent wipers, tilt steering, full LED lighting on the flat bed, and no stereo yet (this way I can hear the rattles to diagnose)! SOLD!
Many Ford bumps / one 76' EB / and several dents through the years.
A lot of "oddball" Ford parts collected from working on them for 34 years now!

yep the winch works great havent used it much its got a few issues the brake dont work and you have engage the clutch from the outside but i know a guy who has enough parts to build 2 of these winches and have parts left over and he will probally give me whatever in exchange for a 12 pack lol

That is a good looking truck, I like the bumper turned out pretty nice. I Also noticed you took off the spot lights, what are your plans for them? If your not going to use them I'd like to buy them.

well guys i started working on this girl about year ago i replaced the floor boards then demo derby season came then we deiced to build a shop now im back into it again.......finally the first thing i did was remove the front clip and put por15 on the frame and the cab mounts i just need to remove the motor so i can get the inside of the frame rails and the firewall then use por self etch and then por flex coat next we put a 3 inch body lift under it to make room for a cummins i have been working on fixing all of po mods to i filled in all the screw holes in the hood for that ugly bug visor i also filled in the hole for the cb antenna and the spot lights

this fender is still way good i deiced to cut a drainage hole to let all the dirt and water out

i also had to fill in the mismatched speaker holes i deiced to por the metal behind before i filled them in

also coating my inner fenders but i'm all out of por :o

that's all for now tomorrow i'm going up north to pickup 2 12 valve engines and 5 speed i'm kind of excited

we went and got the 12 valves and a getrag transmission one is a runner but needs a timing case among a few other things the other is seized and has most of the parts i need for the other i also got a radiator and intercooler for a 6.7 i might be able to get them to work maybe

we also seen this on the way up an old Vietnam vet in a wheel chair was ridding it he said a could take a picture as long as he wasn't in it
