What are your thoughts on the strength of the Cobra IRS? With delrin bushings and proper spring rates and shocks, do you feel it would be up to half ton truck duty (carry 1,000 pounds or pull 5,000 pounds)?

I have a buddy running the same basic setup in his Bullitt. I built up his IRS with delrin bushings (I lathe them myself), 31 spine trac lok with kevlar clutches and 4.10's with a FRPP cover/support. He has a stroked and whippled 4.6 4v (full termi driveline swap) putting almost 700hp to the tires. He's had zero issues other than he's got to much gear now... 1st, 2nd just haze the tires. So the IRS can handle some abuse when set up correctly.

As to will it hold up to a load or tow, no idea. This is no longer a work truck, so those aren't requirements I'm worried about. I have a Cherokee and a trailer for stuff like that.
