Figured out the steering on the cheap. 2004-8 F150 steering shaft, which I added 3" too. Modified the original (75) column shaft from 36 spline to the "D" with a notch to match the upper u joint. Cost... $45 shipped.

Whittled up a endcap/bearing assembly to replace the worn out factory stuff. Should last forever....

Installed.

Once I repaint the column, I'll keep it in place with 3 buttonhead screws.

Cobra manifold fits! Now for the rub... Apparently I bought two left sides... as shown in the auction.. I didn't look that close... Going to contact the seller and see if he's got a right side... Derp.

Clears the steering shaft by about a 1/2".

A long cold winter is over. Picked up a fuel tank and got it installed.

Adjustable! Just like factory! lol

Found this on a Lightning forum. I think I'll copy it from the muffler back. Then adapt from the muffler to the BBK X Mustang pipe. I also bought a 98 Cobra intake. Going to build/mod the engine harness and run a Megasquirt II ecm...

I was planning on making This myself, but it's obviously a lot easier if I can buy it!
Where did you get the end cap and bearing?

Thanks!

The bearing was a good used one from a tool we serviced at work. I just went thru our pile until I found one with the right ID. The end cap is something I whittled up in my lathe from Delrin. There's an o-ring holding the bearing in place.
