It's POR15 but Harbor Freight Epoxy Chassis Paint. It works pretty good but they are not carrying it anymore. Good thing I have about 15 cans of the paint left.

Well I have not had a moment to work on the front axle. I am having withdrawals from not working on it. This week is busy and next week I am off. I have been watching some youtube videos on rebuilding the Dana 44 front axle, I have picked up a lot of great info from these. When I was playing with the input shaft, it does not spin real smooth. I have to pull the cover and drain the fluid and get a good look at the insides and decide if I am pulling the ring gear and replacing all the bearings and seals.

So I got the Diff Cover off the Front Axle finally. It looks pretty good inside so as soon as I get the U-joint done in the axle I can get it put back together. As soon as I got started I got side tracked. Came down with a cold that is kicking my butt. So the time I took off work is now trying to get better. :cuss:

I got whacked by the cruds myself it kicked my rear for the past 2 weeks on off. Did get a chance to get you some better info. The brake spiders i have here are 60's they fit on the 44 hubs and appear to be fine. The only thing is the inner bore is bigger so it does not fit precisely on the 44 hub. the hub will pass thru and sandwich it hard and the hub will be piloted into the knuckle. Once you get it bolted and setup i see no reason it will hurt your. The hub pilot does not anchor it it's all on the studs to hold it from spinning. As the d44 spindle will still pilot in the knuckle you should be good. They are rusty but solid i will blast them clean if you want before they head your way. Tell me what you think... :?

No problem heal up first. They ain't going no where. Maybe the blast cabinet but nowhere else. Think they will get your axle sorted out.

So I have done nothing in the garage. It is cold and I am still trying to get rid of my cold. I am functional and back to work, just running at about 70% still. We got brushed by the big snow storm and got a whopping 3" today. The bigger issue is we haven't hit 32 in the last 8 days.

What would suck is if the weather was real nice outside but you were sick. Get better, stay inside where it is warm and sip on a nice hot toddy.

That's how it always goes. Now that I have time to work on my truck it's been -10 out. When it's sunny and 70 out I've got not time for the truck. Get better quick!
