1969 Ford F100 Project

Post by JL Blueprints »

Hi I'm new here. :fr:
My dad recently gave me his 1969 Ford F100 360 FE, well last year(2013 to be correct). The truck has been standing for 9-10 years or so, as i know it started on the first tries after standing there so long :woohoo: (I was impressed some truck need some stuff replaced to able to start). My dad bought in California, don't know if he was the 2nd/3rd owner but now its in Mexico. You Might be wandering why it has a bull sticker on the side of it, my dad said they had did that so the truck wouldn't get taken by the police and fool them to think it was a cow truck(people would use trucks to buy cows, pigs etc. and sell them) they couldn't pay the stickers or the the license plates back then so they ended up doing that, I'm kinda happy that they didn't cause you have to stick them to the windshield. Can you imagine all those sticker on the windsheield, their kind of hard to get off too and they also leave glue on glass). That's not a problem any more, everything is all good we can drive it with or without the bull sticker/decal  . Last time i was down in Mexico i install LMC Truck headlights, side mirrors, replaced all rear light bulbs and lens. As far as i know the gauges don't work, until recently brake system needs to be replaced, so now it has just been setting their now.

Here's Some Pic's:

:wel: from California! Nice score from your dad! What part of Michoacán is the truck at? My wifes family lives in a little rancho in Michoacán, about 15 minutes from Tangancicuaro . Beautiful country and they too have an old truck that we drive around there when we are down there. Have fun with your build!

That green and ivory paint job sure does look good.
