Speaker Options...

Post by custom68 »

I have the original radio in my truck, and it doesnt have a speaker, was like that when I got it. What options are there for replacement speakers. I have found a couple of places that sell the ones that fit and they are like 50 bucks for a 6"X9" and I am not giving that!. Any ideas of what you guys have done would help a bunch.

The original speaker is something like a 5x8 and was held up against the bottom of the dash with a funky bracket that cradled the square speaker magnet, see pic. There are no holes in the dash to hold an aftermarket speaker but I've heard of folks adapting a 6x9.
