need an answer fast!

Post by dotcentral »

I forgot to look this up at home, can someone help me out with a part #?

What is the Ford part # for the clips that hold the long narrow stainless moulding on to the tailgate. Not the piece that reads F O R D, but the piece below that.

thanks in advance.

Thanks. That was pretty fast. I'm on a tight schedule today & don't have time to run home and look it up.

Do you remember, are the they rivet on type or the nut-bolt type fasteners?

Those are the ones that take the rivets, is that what you're looking for?

My 1970 assembly manual shows a slightly different part #. C7TB-99407A52-A. It does need 7 and is riveted to the tailgate. The place I went to the guy couldn't find it under your part #. Don't know if he would find it under mine either. I'll just go to Dennis Carpenter's and buy them there.

I agree,# C7TB-99407A52-A .You'll need 7 of the plastic rivet type, and two for the ends. These are metal type.which bolt through the ends of tailgate.

Thanks for the replies. All that trying to be fast didn't get me anywhere, did it? At least we tracked down the part #.
