Hello everyone
I've read this site for many nights now and I am very impressed. I just purchased a 1967 F100 for $100. It isn't much to look at, but the engine starts right up and it drives straight. I'm currently diagnosing a lack of braking power. I pretty much have to stand on the pedal to stop it. Needless to say I am not driving it right now.

Name is Bob Francois. I have two young kids, Tricia and Robert, and a lovely wife, Jennifer. We live in a small town in Iowa called Dewitt.
So far I have only bled the brakes to see if I have air in the lines. The front brakes bled fine, but the rear brake line has a hole in it, so the front half of the master cylinder is empty. My morning project is to repair the rear brake line. Other than that I haven't done a thing.

re: Hello everyone
Howdy and welcome, Bob. You came to the right place for tech support on your truck, there's not much these guys don't know about. Maybe you could post some pix of your gem sometime? '67 seems to be one of the most, if not the most, popular year bumpsides.

Welcome from Wisconsin!!!!
There is more info here than you can imagine! Ask your questions. Someone will have an answer.
$100 for a driver? sounds like a pretty good deal already.
Make sure your brakes are top notch, at 4000lbs+ curb weight. These things tend to not stop on a dime.
Glad to hear from you. Got any pics?

Welcome Bob I think your on the right track. So far your first 2 steps have been perfect
1) You made a great purchase (100.00)
2) You registered on the best truck site around
-------
I trust your decision for the next step will be just fine but when in doubt look at this site as the phone a friend option-------enjoy and glad to have ya here.
