Ok heres a thought about my project?

This is what i'm wanting a sleeper truck primered down with that beige color low stance having it tubbed and running just a deep dished black rim and running skinnies up front and running the 360 with mild cam and carb and mild shift improver kit. Paint won't happen because my project will never be done, anyone got a pic like i'm talking about or can someone use photoshop and give me an idea of what i'm looking for? Thanks Terry

460 all the way. I have a stock 460 with an Edelbrock 750 on it. Off the line there haven't been that many to keep up with me. Once I hit drive though, thats when I am in trouble. The gearing takes over and I only top out at about 115, ( or atleast that is what the other guy told me we were doing) I am with scott on the skinnies, these are big heavy trucks, skinnies are just asking for an accident. I have 31" tires all the way around and it still looks good and hauls lol. good luck with your project.

I don't think a 460 would do me good i don't think i could afford the motor blowing apart on me, and i've always been kinda of fond of the 360 and 390 motors just never thought of going to a big block like the smaller motors... and trying to figure out what to do next got my paper and pencil out trying to narrow everything down to an art form because every penny of this project so it gets done may take awhile but great things come to those who wait... :lol:

what does blowing apart have to do with anything? :eek: also a 360/390 is not a small block by anymeans. i have own bought a 390 and a 429 truck they don't compare for speed. fe stands for f-ing enormous. please give us some info on your truck maybe update your info button. its hard to give ideas when i don't know if its a f100 or f250 long or short. as for sicking to a buget is not going to happen. been there tried that. the longer it takes th e more money your going to spend. the best adive i can give you is do things right the first time. i would get your chassis done then go from there. tell me this, whos truck on here is close to what your looking for. i have some ideas but am not sure if thay will work for you.

Sorry Customcrewcab i have a 1971 f100 longbed 360 automatic, I guess that would of helped you sorry :oops: But Honestly i have to try and keep a budget because i have alot of kids but also want them all to own older ford trucks because i want it to be a family affair for a life time not to mention good excuse to bring another one home...lol. shoot me your ideas custom and see if i can maybe get a general idea...Thanks Terry

yeah and i would be picking all my motor parts up in the neighbors yard and then some and i don't think mommy would like that to much..lol I just want a truck that looks the sleeper part but all business.

na never been one to be into blower or superchargers i like the look of a nice air cleaner...lol

Wolfpack, are you wanting to stay with a stock appearing truck with a somewhat stock appearing engine and just get the most out of what the truck came with? There are several people here that have done that with their trucks. As long as the stock equipment (chassis, suspension, steering, brakes, etc.) is in good servicable condition, It will do the job as is. That way you can concentrate on the engine and running gear. These trucks were built to do alot more than you are going to be asking it to do, so it is strong enough as is. Just my opinion and a way to keep it lowbuck, sort of, as there really is no such thing. Look through the gallery and look at some other members trucks to see what they have done.
