Where to Find Thermo-Ply for Headliner???

I am wanting to make a new headliner and I read on here where guys are using thermo ply. My local hardware store doesn't carry it and I can't find it at Lowes or Home depot. Any ideas?

whats it made out of? is it that silver colored buble wrap? or is it a tar backed silver sheet for sound deadening?

Here's a picture of Thermo-ply from what I can take on it, it's basically just an insulation type deal, very similar to the Styrofoam insulation you would traditionally see on a home.

As for where to get it I'm not sure but here's there website http://www.berryplasticsbpg.com/default.aspx.

i'd say a real lumberyard should have it. Depot and Lowes are wanna be's.

It's not quite like Tyvek, Thermoply is rigid, like an 1/8" thick. Curious to know how it works as a headliner.

Theres a couple guys on here that have used it for headliners. Its about 1/8" thick and I think its kinda like a board. I found something at Lowes called Hardboard but it looks like pegboard w/o the holes. I thought the thermoply would be good cuz its another barrier against sound.

I bet that some thermo-ply with a sheet of Masonite below it and actually serving as your physical headliner would work great. The thermo-ply would help with insulation, and the Masonite would look much more appealing to the eye, especially if you painted it or upholstered it. And in case you were wondering what Masonite was, it is probably what you were referring to as the "pegboard without holes", it's pretty thing and flexible between a wood and cardboard type deal.

thermoply is 1/8" or 1/4" masonite (pegboard without holes) with foil attached to it.
