I'd have to say my '65 olds88 dash is my favorite mod. I happened upon it, and when I saw it I knew I had to put it in something.

I'm kind of cheating, this dash is in a dent cab, both the bump bodies I have are shot, so I'm using dent parts on a swb bump frame (still excavating the frame, it's good, but it's been in the woods since '75). It'll go in a bump cab too, about the same amount of fab (a lot).

Here's mine so far:

Here's what it looks like in the olds:

Toughest dash I've ever seen. Well worth my trouble.

Thanks for the pic. That will definitely be very unique! I have seen an effie with a 5.0 mustang dash (and the suspension/drivetrain along with most of the rest of the car), that was pretty cool.

the intermittent wipers from two-bit are nice to have, the electronic ignition from crane cams is alright, but my absolute best mod has got to be a combination of holley 600 + performer rpm air gap + Hooker headers + 2.5 inch exhaust with X-PIPE and SLP loud mouth 1 "mufflers"

Rebuilt 302 with Holley 650 and new alum. manifold accompanied by a nice lil lopey cam haha..
New exhaust
New paint
New carpet
Removed all the chrome and filled in all the holes before repainting for a smooth look
New wheels and tires

And hopefully by this weekend a new heater core.

Furure mods are disc power brakes and dream beams.. Oh and system after relocating the tank.

Mine was the Petronix which I did 8 yrs ago still running strong intermitten wipers. A new custom Rad and heater core still using the original resesivor top and bottom. Chrome wiper arms, Polish SS tailgate handle assy. Custom Lettering airbrushed into the lower portion of paint on tailgate. Removed to C/S west coast mirrors and installing the sport mirrors instead, removed the C/S heavy arse bumper and going with the sport bumper and new brackets and upgrading the bumper with the chrome steps from a 65 fairlane station wagon OEM NIB bty. Installing a Bench Seat from a 95 Lariat, and of course a Emron 5.0 paint same as factory paint scheme only better paint. New Cab is in order this spring with new harness custom gauge panel leather on the seats and interior, fuel tank to the back, carpet, stereo. There are others in the works but cab is first ( Thank You Randy B.) oh and I did the headlight harness from whats his name with the headlights conversion bulbs as well. :woohoo:

Cool first post. :)

And want to add to what Austin said, I figure that not until
Dents came along there was any reason to call 'em Bumps.
...so they go together. :)

Bumps have always been my favorite looking pickup. :)

My '75 F150 with its 360FE+T18 is like a bump wanna-be. ;)

Intake manifold. Happened to have a 4 barrel carb force-feeding itself into the most restrictive 2 barrel intake manifold Ford could probably OE engineer.

I wouldn't mind a mid 90's dash in the 72, but i'd have to keep the factory guage from the 72 somehow or atleast get the dakota digital to fit in the mid 90's dash. i just like how clean the mid 90's look with the radio at the top and closer to the driver.

now for my recent mod, allready posted in this thread http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... =2&t=44371 page 46 post #2 on that page.

it is the rear reflectors that mount under the lights from a 67-69. verses the 70-72 ones wich are way to small and dinky and the chrome coating wears off the plastic.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~
