The guy I bought my truck from installed some speakers into the door panels. I am a little bummed out about that because I am assuming that he had to cut them. I haven't taken the speakers off yet to take a look I will do that today. If he did in fact cut them, I would like to recess them so they are flush with the panel, but in doing that I would also like to cover them up with some speaker covers.
I know that in my truck the top of the dash is waffled where the speaker(s) would be.
Are there any older style fords, or any other brand of car that would have had speakers in the door?
And if not, does any one have any suggestions on how I can keep the speakers there and not have it look so silly like it does right now?

Re: Speaker Covers
later models of our trucks had speaker covers on the doors. but they were at the back bottom of the door not in the removable door panel thought. they were square covers. for about a 6x9 i think .

THAT! will work perfectly. Since I already have holes in the door panels I will install that over the speakers. I am guess by later model you mean possibly 75 to 80?
