Where is the best place to get...

Post by heviarti »

New rubber for pedals?

Some kind of replacement bezel to mount a modern stereo?

Better dome light switches?

And what the #&!! holds the little chrome trim rings on the pull switches? Several of mine are loose and rattling: and like an English charioteer, it drives me buggy. I also found a choke I can pull out of another truck.

pedal pads i have no idea who makes the best ones.

the radio mount for the modern radios uses a volvo radio installtion kit that can be had from the local parts store special order i think i read.

i heard www.greensalescompany.com has NOS dome light switches. at 18.00 each.

tighten up the center rings so the bezels dont rattle.

choke cables? what ever you want to do is fine with me.

I guess I haven't figued out what tightens those. It's left me somewhat confuzzled since I bought the pickup in the summer of '98.

I need to remove a whole manual choke knob bezel and cable from a rig in the junk yard. My weber has an electric choke that works occasionally. it's getting a manual.

NOS.. but are these the brittle translucent white ones that break right away? or are they something else?

new old stock. that is old stock ford sold off when they decided to clean out thier invetory of old discontinued new parts.

the bezel rings can be tightened somewhat with a flat bladed screwdriver or neddele nose pliers but there is a bezel tool that can be bought that will get them even tighter.

You can get new dome light switches from most of the restoration part houses. I got mine from NPD for a Mustang - same pin configuration

BobbyFord - I gotta ask. What's up with the painted face? It would scare the **** outta me to see you pull up beside of me in your classic Ford dressed like that. Actually, I kind of like it....wonder what my wife would do if I went home like that.

I know NOS, but was just crious if I'd be getting something maybe made of better material than the ones that disintegrated. Maybe I'll haywire my next set in so they can't fall out of the brackets every time I open the door. Every part of that plastic that's supposed to be springy ain't.

Who is DC? (please don't say 'where the president lives' :) )

Where do I get the tool? I'll prolly have to have it to pull that stock choke out of the parts truck.

whose part number is that? If I go to NAPA I sure can't say 'gimme a 99-9222'

I'll have to see about DC, and their switches.

I did call NAPA today to see if they had that spanner tool. They had no idea. Anybody know a manufacturer name and part no. or possibly nomenclature?

Definitely going to see about a set of them switches. Maybe I'll hot glue the connectors on so they don't fly off every time I shut the door.
