New Ranger Seat in my Old Truck

Post by Caseys71 »

Well guys I've got a friend with a parts ranger, he told me if I needed anything he'd probably let me have it for free since I've been helping him out with some of his projects lately. About the only thing I immediately thought may be worth snagging was the bench seat, it is perfect with not tears, and it has a basic trim package w/ the cloth seat so it wouldn't look to out of place in my truck. Now to cut to the chase, I haven't gotten a chance to ride by and measure his seat yet. However, I did take some rough measurements off of my seat and it is roughly 60" wide at the bottom front of the seat closer to the dash, and the seat back starts at around 56" and narrows up to 54" at the top of my seat back. Also the measurement from the inside of the seat brackets is about 40". Obviously the ranger seat will be a bit narrower, but does anyone have some exact dimensions, or know if it will fit? Also just for clarification it is a newer ranger IE late '90s early '00s.
Thanks for any help guys

it may be too narrow for your truck.

That's what I was thinking, I'll try and get some measurements when I can anyhow.

I went and measured the ranger seat and it came up a bit short, so I didn't even bother measuring the distance between the brackets to see if I could swap my brackets on. However, I did manage to pick up a seat out of a '91 F150 for $30 8), I installed it last night and will try and get some pictures later on in the day :D.
