Re: ARMREST
Go to a junk yard and pull the back arm rests out of a 4 door '68-71 Ford Torino or Fairlane. They are the exact same thing as the trucks, Ford quality with hardly ever any wear. Available in black, blue, green, gold, and even red.
Suposedly the '80's Ford vans used a similiar armrest but it looks a bit different.

1980-1991 vans are the exact same ones. if you search ebay the torino ones look different to me.

Re: ARMREST
Sorry about jumping in but maybe one of you could find me a pair of metalic green armrests.

Re: ARMREST
I know, but I can always dream. I bought a set of tan armrests and I hope to dye them but I don't think I can get the "metalic" look.

Re: ARMREST
And as long as we're putting in our requests here : ) I'm looking for a pair of blue arm rests in excellent condition.

Re: ARMREST
I have a set of green ones but they're kind of in use right now... If and when I do the cab swap and go black interior I'll post them for sale.

Re: ARMREST
That is great to know, thanks. Never thought about that. Knew about the vans as that is what is on the driver's side of my 71 now after the DC feel apart 6 months after buying it. Wouldn't even help me with a return.Ranchero50 wrote:Go to a junk yard and pull the back arm rests out of a 4 door '68-71 Ford Torino or Fairlane. Re: ARMREST
I have a set in my '68 from LMC. They are not made to "ford specs". The doors are hard to open from the inside because the armrest recess for the door handle is not deep enough.cajuncannon03 wrote:Anyone have any luck with LMC armrest, I am not happy with DC's version. Re: ARMREST
Old thread I know but I figured I'd let yall in on what I did. I bought some of those old exterior cab handles( the "oh sh**!" kind
) and bolted them to the doors. They look really good and I don't use them so I'm not worried about how hard they are.
