I need a new rubber spring thing that goes inside my three-spoke horn ring. Does anybody know of a place that sells this part new? Or what have you done to fabricate a replacement?
Thanks.

The price seems reasonable and it doesn't look all squished like my 40 year old. Is this new or just in better shape than mine?

OK.
I was reading some other threads here and found places that specialize in repo parts for our trucks.
Dennis Carpenter has it for $12 + shipping.

Mac's has it for $10

NPD and LCM have it as well.

I'll get a new horn rubber spring thing. Maybe it will last another 40 years.
Now that it's after-the-fact, I find this for $5 bucks:

My Dad and I already machined a new one. Took us eight hours. That's one pricey part at machine shop rates. But the time spent with Dad is priceless.
