stewart warner fuel gauge
I'M installing a custom gauge panel in a 67 using S/W gauges, you can get a fuel level gauge in the 73 /10 ohm range , whitch is susposed to work with the OE sending unit. has anyone done this? I,D like to know if it will actualy work. it would save buying a SW sending unit. thanks

Yes you can get a S/W (or most any other brand) fuel gauge in the 73-10 OHM range. As long as the gauge you get is designed for 73-10 OHMs then it will work just fine with the factory sending unit. Here's a link to the only 2 S/W gauges I could find in 73-10 range on Summit Racing: http://www.summitracing.com/search/Depa ... s=Rank|Asc

Re: stewart warner fuel gauge
Good afternoon TrucksALot and Casey,
I'm with Casey--a gauge that reads empty at 73 ohms, and full at 10 ohms should work with the factory sender.
My truck's set up in just this way; I'm using a 10-73 ohm Teleflex/V3 fuel gauge with the factory sender. So far it seems to work perfectly.
Here's a link to my dash panel thread in case you're curious to glance through it:
Could I ask for advice on attaching my Teleflex/V3 gauges?
