using a factory a/c unit in a truck that didnt come with a/c

i know this is a long shot but i had a 72 f100 that had a/c and i took the a/c unit out and alll the components. can i use this a/c unit in a 70 f100 shortbed that didnt have factory a/c or a/c at all for that matter. iknow i need extra wiring but can it be used? any input would be helpful thanks

Sure, you can use it. Just be sure to use the dash controls for the AC unit, it's different than the 70's unit will be. You will need to drill firewall holes for the hoses, too. And you will need to use a glovebox liner for a factory AC truck, the non AC trucks had a different glovebox liner. That's not a big deal, though. Most vendors sell those liners.

awsome thanks flyboy2610 just wanted some reassurance i noticed i did need to drill the holes and thje controls i do have so im all set thanks again

I'm adding a factory A/C unit to my '67, and of course the cab isn't drilled for it since integral A/C wasn't available until '68. Read more here:
