Lock and window mechanism lube

While I've got my door panels off I'm going to lube all my mechanisms. Any suggestions on what lubes to use on the different pivot points and tracks? Thanks!

grease on the window roller. also remember that grease and oil will trap dirt into the grease and oil. so gravel roads are not soemthing you want to drive on very much.

race truck's roller windows were very well amazingly.
And it lives in dirt. I don't think dust in the air affects the track enough to make any noticeable difference. It's more about getting rid of 40 year old junk grease and putting new stuff in it.

my '69 4x4 with all new door weather stripping/anti-raddles is a huge PITA to roll up and down the windows, because of the new weather stripping. It's ridiculously hard, actually miss the 40 year old weather stripping.

You can use dry graphite. Works great for this stuff.

Spray white lithium grease, (used in the building industry quite a bit). Stays on your hood hinges / window rollers and quite a few other things on our trucks. It will attract dust as mentioned above, but will stay effective much longer than any type of penetrating type oil. Any auto parts store or hardware store or building improvement store carries it.

The spray white lithium grease is definetly something that I keep on hand and use regularly; I just thought I'd check and make sure there isn't something that works better or something purpose made just for these things that I've never heard of. Thanks guys!

Silicone spray works on the window channel rubbers (if they aren't old, dry, cracked, etc.).

I just had my door panels off last weekend to do some sound deadening and while I had it off, I cleaned the tracks and used the white lithium grease. It made an immediate big difference. I've always used the same on the locking mechanism and door latches, etc.
