Highliner headliner and stuffs!

Post by phipplet »

I do believe this would be a more appropriate category for my interior question;

My son wants a radio in his truck and I didn't want to cut the '67 dash, so I ordered the Highliner headliner and a stereo. Looks pretty nice and solid. Think I'll put Dynamat down first and switch out the flimsy 4" speakers with some nicer ones. Any tips or hints from someone who's installed one of these would be welcomed.

On a side note, when it rains I'm having a problem with water leaking into the cab. It seams to be coming from under the dash somewhere on both sides and travels along the door seals. It is very aggravating because I can't seem to find where it's coming from! :x I'm wondering if my cowl vent drains are plugged?
Thanks :D

they are probably plugged by the way it sounds. the best way is to remove the vents and dig them out by hand. another way which isnt quite as good but is easier. is to stick a coat hanger up into the hole from behind the fender.

stick your head up there and see where it's stained. the windshield wiper pivot gaskets dry and crack over time and let water in there.
