PLEASE read Sheriff Wright on concealed weapon/gun control

Post by crazyhorse »

PLEASE read/watch Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright.
Pay attention when he explains gun control.
My hat is off to him. We need more like him.

I like it but a CCW is next to impossible to get in Southern California.

That is fantastic! Like bobbyford said its impossible to get one on the central coast of CALI as well. our sheriff doesnt even issue them out to retired cops. I really dont see why I cant have my shotgun sitting up on the gun rack in my bump.

Good for him! It should be legal in every state in the union as far as I'm concerned. My employer had an associate abducted last month-just short of never to be seen again when the thug let her go by his "getaway car" after robbing the store.
The "right to bear arms" should never be taken from us! Who will keep our government in place when that happens?

Sheriff Wright is dead on. I just renewed my concealed pistol permit last month so I am good for another 5 years. A state patrol officer who son plays football with my son "recommended" that I do not carry a shotgun in my gun rack in the bump, he said that I would be pulled over by every cop that passed me and some crack head (his words) would try to steal it (notice the brocken lock on the slider). I do have an axe handle just in case though.

Good day CrazyHorse,

Thanks for posting this; that's an interesting video. As chance would have it, I heard about this yesterday and already watched The Judge video.

Both Kasie and I would like to have permits, and have been planning to ask for them. There has been a significant amount of crime in our neighborhood over the last year so I'm hoping that it might be enough for the sheriff to let us go ahead with it, although I'm really not sure whether a high crime rate would work for us, or against us! I figure it can't hurt to ask, and would be a memorable adventure even if we're both turned down.

We'll be sure to bring documentation on recent crimes with us when we ask, too, so they can't avoid the fact that we're not in the safest area.

thank god missouri is a "shall issue" state. county sheriffs can't not issue without legal cause.

Two lawyers, a criminal defense attorney and a family law attorney, each keep a handgun in the top draw of their respective desks. What is the difference?

The difference is that the family law attorney's gun is loaded. :D

I live in the next county over from Spartanburg. I have my conceal carry permit. Its not hard to get them here. You have to take an 8hr class from an instructor that is FBI and state approved, go though a fifty round course at the firing range, pass a thorough FBI background check and pay $90.00 bucks and you get the concealed carry permit.

In good ol' Arizona, you dont have to have a CCW. Anyone can conceal, thats the main reason for me carrying my piece all the time now, because any idiot you see out anywhere in the state of AZ can be carrying without any consequences (granted the gun is registered and the carrier is legal to own)

My dad and I went at the same time a couple of years ago to get ours. Mine is up in April of next year and I have to be sure to get it updated 6 months before had or have to take the course and back ground check all over again. They say it is harder to get them in Mecklenburg county now with a new more liberal Sheriff. I'll keep one long as I can get it.
My sister cannot get one just because she attended a free help clinic to help her stop drinking. That is just stupid there. Guess I need to keep drinking if I want to keep my CC.
