1969 ranger resto

Post by tino69 »

I'm in the process of a frame off resto of my 1969 f100 ranger sb, so the question is who has the best fit and finish for parts LMC, NPD, Max, Carpenter, or ? Going with stock interior, carpet, door panels, weather strip, rubber, bucket seats, etc. Thanks

DC is the best... but other places sell their stuff.

Sometimes you don't need DC quality, so shop for price on those things... Grommets, plugs, nuts and bolts, etc are pretty much the same from everyone.

Weatherstripping or parts 'Made on/with Ford Tooling' are best from Dennis Carpenter. (They make the best WS and the only ones that have the ford tooling for parts).

HTH,

Eric

Again thanks for the info, also I see a lot of posts on firewall covers, so who makes the best fit? or could you put sound deadener/heat shield all the up the firewall then insulate and carpet?

I've bought stuff from Blue Oval truck parts and had very good luck with them.

I'm also in the process of doing a 69 ranger and want the original green and white bench done. Is there a link to DC? :hmm:

Never mind about the DC site, I found it with a quick search. Does anyone have info on a good vender for original style seat covers or will I have to have them made at a shop? :pout:

I like MAC's... they seem to have a nice selection....

Just as a note I just ripped out my interior in prep for a full body paintjob on my 69. I am replacing the door panels stock and DC does not have them but MACs does, with the woodgrain trim and all, look pretty decent.

I pulled out and tossed the old carpet and wondered if the new kits DC sells comes with the insulation and sound deadener that was under the carpet and on the floorboards. I am going to have an auto upholsterer do the carpet and door panels.
