those wonderful heater control cables

Post by randyj68 »

Im redoing the interior of my 68 ranger, took the heater box out so i could clean and paint, getting everything back together has honestly been fun until i got to putting these cables back. I unfortunetly did not take any pics or videos of howw these things are supposed to go back, as far as how to route them from the box to the control levers........looks like it would make more sense to shorten them but rather put it back correctly. Any diagrams out there or any words of wisdom.

They can be sorted out fairly easily if you pay attention to where they attatch onto the heater box.By watching the functions on the box for each cable you can figure out where it goes on the control panel. Takes some time....just remember...everything should fit with no binding and no trimming.
