'67 Shoulder Harness/Seat Belt Issue

Boy, please. Someone out there, Help! I've got a clean '67 F-250 Camper Special Ranger with a lap belt and harness incompatibility. My newly-found harness set will not fit my factory lap buckle. Yah, I know. How in the world . . . ?
Anyway, that's the problem, and I have the harness set installed! It seems that my harness matches a '78-'79 Ford truck. The key on the harness is smaller than the factory buckle. Is this smaller size a standard and if so, what dates--oh, please? How can I track this and where can I pick up a set of lap belts/buckles ? Sincerely, DL

I dont have an answer for you regarding the actual belt sizes or how to track them. But my suggestion would be that if you obtained a shoulder harness from a 78-79 truck, then see if you can obtain the lap portion from the same year truck at your local junkyard and that should solve your problem. The dent side era trucks are usually pretty plentiful at the junkyards I go to for parts, so it should not be that hard to find what you need.

I replaced the stock lap belts in both of my bumps with aftermarket sets with the shoulder belts for safety reasons. But I purchased the aftermarket sets complete and did not have to worry about matching up different parts.

SeatBeltPros. com ( https://www.gotbelts.com/ ) is where I bought my sets of seatbelts from and they sell a good quality seatbelt with a ton of choices for colors and clasps. From what you were asking though, it sounded like you were looking to find parts that will work with what you already have. The chance that the new parts will work with what you already have installed is slim. I would suggest just buying entire new sets from seatbelts from seatbeltpros, or hunting for the other half of the style of belts you have now. But trying to match is going to be more trouble than its worth.
