Defrost vent modification

I know we've all struggled with our defrosters and, in particular, the vents. My intention is to open up the hole in the dash a little and install some like these a/c vents from my stepson's 2010 F150. At least they'll be directional so you can point them at your vision area. Anybody foresee any issues?

anythings possible..no forseen issue without knowing how much room it takes to hook them up. Just a thought Randy.....late 60's Mustang vents....use the same size hose and can be fit(some fab work)closer to the windshield can shoot you a picture of the one I've got..to give you an idea....I opt'd for the smooth dash as my truck(hope it see's the road )won't see any cold weather

I'd like your mod regardless! I'm putting a pad on so I afraid to any major cutting. Just figured a directional vent would at least be better than the original.
