Bush is stepping Up!

Pres. Bush just asked congress to take the $2 billion dollar tax break away from the oil companies. Siting that they don't need to be any richer than they are.

Yeah and guess who the oil companies are going to charge to make up for the lost tax break?

no they can not legally take that out on us. They won't be paying any more for their end of the bargain. This would prove gouging. They can't get away with charging more than double or tripple what they pay.

I know political discussions are frowned upon on here, and I respect that because they become heated so quickly, but I just want to say this.

We need to do a better job to educate our children about our Democracy and it's obvious shortfalls, and do more to fix it. We are so divided between right/left when both parties are corrupt, and a pathetic shell of what they once were. We, as citizens have no real representation in Washington and special interests run this country.

It's an election year, so the officials will at least pretend to care about the needs of middle america. The actions of both sides the last couple days was windowdressing to suck up for your vote. Come December they'll go back to legistlating to the highest dollar and Middle america will get the shaft again.

I'm not a fan of Bush, but honestly don't think Kerry would have done any better/worse.

Expect more.

I heard on the radio today that in New York, the gas tax is calculated on ever dollar you spend on gas, not per gallon, so as the price goes up, they get more money. No matter what the prices are here, at least I'm not there.
