C6 differences - looking for a pic

Post by dotcentral »

Someone posted (somewhere, I thought it was here) a picture of an early and later C6, upside down showing the trans pan. At some point in the mid 70's a corner was "clipped" off the pan. Anyone have a copy they can email me? The pic I'm thinking of might have shown the FMX and C4 also.

I think it was the C-4 tranny you're thinking of. Here are some graphics I whipped up a while back for an automatic transmission ID page that hasn't been posted yet:

No I'm thinking of the C6. I found a good pic describing it on my work computer. I won't post it, but I'll email it to you, since it came from some place else.

Got it...thanks. I'll have to see if I can put something similar together for the transmission page. I wasn't aware of any differences in the C-6 trannys.

This is the graphic he was talking about. He didn't want to post it since he's thinking it came from another site and didn't want to get into trouble by borrowing images. However, I'm attaching it here. If anyone knows where this came from, please PM or e-mail me.

Yeah that's it. When I say deep, there's only about a 1/4" difference between the two pans. That change was sometime mid '75.
