The story

Post by newdeal »

I was just looking for an older truck to pull our boat to other places besides the river. Nothing too specific, just no Mo-Par's. We've been using our '99 Town and Country, but it ain't got the torque for the hills. I was driving through Colfax and spotted an older Ford for sale in a mechanic/car lot. I bought it and have been obssesed ever since. Please, nobody help me! I LOVE IT!!!

Welcome aboard!
That grille is very nice! Don't tell the guy you bought the truck from, but that grille alone is probably worth the price of the truck!
The 300 I6 will make some serious torque. You should have no trouble pulling your boat.

I paid $600 for it. It has the wrong carb, and after I drove it home I discovered the choke was permanently on. Yeah, it idled a little rough. Electric choke was wired into heater fuse, which was blown. Switched it over to manual, which is what the truck came with. After market cruise control, GONE! I'm going to keep the six and pump it up a little.
