Newbie from Phoenix, Az

Post by tonsoffun1974 »

Just saying hey!, I've recently aquired my 1972 ford f-250 camper special for my daily driver. Its got a 360, C-6, and a Dana 60 w/ 4.10. I think those will be 3.55's soon. If I can do this right I'm going to try to attach some pics, but I'm not much of a computer guy.

tonsoffun,

Welcome! You are in the right place man! That joker is looking good. The pics are a little dark, but it looks like primer or chalk black...either way, it looks good. I've had several chalk red F100's...

Thanks for all the welcomes. As for plans I don't Know yet, I've got a couple other coal in the fire right know also. This is actually my daily driver. I need to get the gears in the rear changed or I'm gonna spend all my play money on gas. I'd like to put a mildly built engine with a o/d tranny in it by next spring. Being a woodworker by trade, I'm gonna get started on some trick door panels, and dash inserts maybe a couple of months out on those. I'll take some photos when I start. The bodys the last thing on the list, someone rattle canned it black, and out here in Arizona no worries with rust. That, and its a factory a/c truck, and with 120 degree summers I have to have my priorities straight.

As far as a good trade, I think I got the clean end of the stick this time. It leaks oil like mad, but I've been tracking down a bunch of loose bolts that are causing some of them. Thanks for telling me about this sight, its wealth of knowledge. There seems to be a forum topic, or a tech article about every question I've thought to ask so far.
