anybody know how to convert from generator to altenater?

i am not sure but it might have something to do with adding a regulator.. like i said i'm not sure.

I hate to see your thread falling down without a lot of responses. I haven't done this conversion but just guessing:

For factory style, need '65 or later alternator brackets, alternator, alternator wiring harness, alternator regulator, splice gen. light wire into regulator.

Maybe it be simpler to go 1 wire alternator?

Nothing on the slick site? Seems a natural.

I recall doing this very thing on Volkswagons years ago but do not remember how or if it would be relevant to the bumps?
