Did you get the windshield fit in it?
No, that glass that you see in there is the first attempt that doesn't fit, and was just set in there for now. I'll probably use it as a template later down the road, when it comes time to rework the upper windshield frame to get it to fit right.

Well, I worked all day again, and am finally 100% out of the shop. The choptop 4x4 got a full coat of rattlecan flat black today, and then loaded up onto the trailer and put out to pasture:

At least he'll have some good company....in the form of a couple dentside trucks. My friend is an into dentsides as we are bumpsides....he's got six or seven of them, all running (plus the two parts trucks) . In fact, as I showed up at his place today to drop off the choptop, he's fitting a new flatbed to another dentside he just acquired.

Then it was back home to finish cleaning out the rest of my stuff from the shop...and I finally got it all out. All that remains is a pile of trash to get hauled off tomorrow after work.

Man, it's sure gonna be hard getting used to this 'no shop' idea. Here's a picture of what the shop looked like just six weeks ago:

...and here's what it looks like as of late this afternoon:

I just had to show you guys those pictures to give you some kind of idea why I haven't been on the forums much lately, or why I haven't been answering a lot of e-mails...I had an INCREDIBLE amount of work to do in just two weekends, getting all that stuff sorted and hauled away. Well, it's done and over. It's been fun...I've definitely been spoiled by having such a nice place to play in over the past 5 years. Hopefully by the end of the summer we'll find that rural acreage....'cause I'm definitely gonna miss this shop.

Sorry to hear that it hapened though.

Keith,

Glad you got things worked out in the meantime. I have to compliment you on your work with that choptop, bud! That is awesome!

Even my wife (she's a bowtie girl) said she thought it looked cool on the 4x4 frame.

Good job and good luck to you.

Did a search because I wanted to show someone your Chop top. It looks sharp especially on the 4x4. My only concern is there is not much room for your head to go up after catching a bit of air or doing some hard corps wheelin lol Might want to make sure you are strapped down pretty good in there or you might have to pound out some dents in the top of the cab  I hope you get your place soon, I miss the updates.
