240/300ci Radiator Weight

Post by smclaren »

Hi Guys

Could someone do me a favour and weigh a 240/300ci radiator for me (empty). I want to get a second hand one sent over from the US and need the weight to get a quote from the US Post.

I don't have a spare one kicking around and the one on my truck is full of quality anti freeze that I don't want to waste (plus I'm a lazy bugger !!)

The dimensions on the one I have are (includes all extremities) ...
67.5 cm (26 1/2 inches) Wide
62 cm (24 1/2 inches) High
10.5 cm (4 1/4 inches) Thick

I would appreciate someones help if you could.

Thanks Guys

Hey Jewksy

Mate, I must of misread it. Are you saying that it is dimesion specific, and weight doesnt come into it ? If so, thats great. I'll email you with the next step, but I had a look at dimensions again, and the radiator is exactlyon 78 inches for width (thats the widest measurment) + girth by my calculations.

I don't think they are all the same. My 68 240 had a bigger radiator than my 72 300. Both F-250s but the 240 was an automatic and the 300 was a stick.
