Sweet! That would have been awesome to shorten up a bit and install a regular bed on and have a really tough looking truck! That has to be a really rare.

I have always wanted to put a regular bed on one of them big ones. Even keep the dual tires in the rear and make some custom bed fenders. Especially a crew cab. It would be an old one of these, an absolute beast.

Nice trucks. Those 8ft bed crews are looooooooooooooooooong. The flare crews are odd looking, I guess cause I've never seen one AT ALL before now.

I think my next project will be a lifted crew like the black one off craigslist. That bump is sweet...

Rumor has it that my truck was originally a flare side. I've considered finding one for it to put it back to original, but I haven't made up my mind just yet...

i like the look of a SWB flairside crew, but i own a SWB flairside with a regular cab so i guess it goes hand in hand.

Do it man!!! Talk about unique!!! That's why I looked for a flareside bed for my F100. They stand out from the rest. If I could find an 8ft flare for my F250, I'd jump all over it!

There was a beat up 78 F350 (I think) 4x4 for sale locally with an 8 ft flareside bed. It looked pretty cool and was only $900 obo, but i think it's sold now. I could always check if you interested in a road trip! :drive:
