Well it has been awhile and I hoped that I would be further along but life and work and such take time too. Anyway the bud goes up and down under its own power now. I replaced the rear wheel cyl and rear rubber brake line again. I also made side boards, put mud flaps on, new cab lights, replace the power brake booster and master cyl again. Also new tail lights. I am likely forgeting some items but I thought I would share some pictures. We all like pictures right?

Well I have been using my truck a fair amount. I hauled a couple loads or rock, this and that. Anyway I have been thinking about a different motor for a long time. I have toyed with either a built fe(390 or 410) or a 460. So the other day I cam across a efi 460, with a 5 speed for a fantastic deal. The motor will have to be rebuilt but the trans and other items are good. I am doing my homework on this one and really think I want to leave it as a fuel injected motor. I will also have a transfer case for low range as well. ( no 4x4 but low range) Which is good and one of my holdbacks for a zf trasnsmission. I have been wanting overdrive and I think this will be my best solution. Maybe I can come up with some pictures.

Well I finally got a around to painting the frame and maybe one day I can remember to take a picture or two and post them. haha. However I did do something kind of interesting the other day. I have been debating on a possible motor swap at some time. Getting my thoughts and ducks in a row. Any way I have toyed with a 460, 410, 428, 390 etc. So I stumbled across a possible donor truck on old ebay. It is a 78 f350 with a 460, 4 speed and a ford flat bed. It had to much on my want/ need list so I guess it should be delivered this week by the tow company. Maybe I can make up my mind after it get here. Considering I just had a few pictures. Haha. Anyway here is a picture of the new to me donor truck. Now to make up my mind on a transmission.(zf, with a transfer case, clark, advance adaptors ranger overdrive) Also does anyone have any recommendations on nice headers that are not long tube for a 460?? ( I am thinking Sanderson) I don't think the long tubes will clear my power take off.
