Will a seat from a 94 bolt into a 72?

Post by Lebowski »

Will this seat from a 1994 F-350 bolt into my 1972 F-350? If not what adjustments would be needed?

yes it will you have to dill the supports on the seat where the tracks from the 94 bolted in. the holes are already there just threaded and they drop right into the 72s tracks i have the same seat from a 87 in my 69

I finally got ahold of the seller and he eventually told me that there is no adjustment on the seat to move it forward or back. My guess is it's a rear seat from a crew cab so I passed on it.... :(

You use the tracks from your old seat and I think the sliding mechanism is in the tracks. Is it not? Than you should be fine. I may be mistaken since I haven't done the swap yet.

So up to what year can you do this? I'd like to put a 60-40 split bench in , like my 97 has.

If it is a rear seat out of a crew cab will the back fold forward? Is the back of a rear seat about the same angle as the back of a front seat? Would you recommend putting it in my '72 F-350 or should I keep looking for a front seat?

i have no idea if they fold forward or not. it might not. but it might have a bolt on it that can be removed to let it fold forward. you will have to look at the seat to be sure.
