Post by 4b316 »

What is the difference between a manual steering column and a power steering column?I just listed a 72 column on ebay and I have been asked that question and just want to get it right.

Manual columns and columns used with Bendix power steering are the same length. Columns used with Saginaw power steering are shorter. :)

its hard top tell but it is probably for power steering being it is from a 73. but the end of the center shaft length is how you tell if is too long or not.

And it isn't a Bronco column, 4X4 columns are different than 2 wheel drive columns. Hawkrod
