Oct. 23rd Texas M&G

Post by fireguywtc »

This thread is for the next meet and great taking place in Hillsboro, TX on Saturday the 23rd of Oct. Exact meeting location and time is to be announced. I am open for suggestions, but I am thinking meeting around lunch time at a nice local restraunt or some kind. I don't know the Hillsboro area very well so I will look into it.

That weather is going to be fantastic and I am probably going to curise the highboy out to lake Whitney since I have never been. Can't wait to see you all out there! :fr:

I would love to see the guys in SA. But my truck is still in many pieces so it will not attend, lol.

I should be able to attend. I got my engine swapped in this last weekend and am hoping to tie up all the loose ends and fire her up this coming weekend. Needs new exhaust system and I'll be good to go!

I am glad you asked that because I an not very familure with Hillsboro. I was thinking the outlet mall since it is right off the highway and it has a big parking lot and such. Anyone else have any suggestions I am open to them.

Hope everyone is still planning on coming. Tell your friends, the more the merrier!! see ya all there!

Not sure if I can still make it or not. Got my 460 running and have driven around the block a few times, but the money I had set aside for getting the exhaust done has been spent on all the little things that popped up during the swap. I don't think I could put up with the noise of the open manifolds for that long of a drive!

It looks to me like it's just me and fireguywtc that'll be attending.

Will Socalexile be attending???

So, how about we meet at Up In Smoke BBQ and then finish the day off by cruising down to the outlet in a 2 truck convoy

That is, of course, if you still want to meet up.

My truck is still not back together, or otherwise I would be interested in a local meet-up. I'm also committed to help someone move. On second thought, I hate moving...maybe I should get the truck back together tonight and head outta town! LoL.

Sounds great. Is there a site or address for the Smoke BBQ? I want to put it in my gps. I sent a PM to socalexile to see if he is still planning on coming. Perhaps we will drive up there together if he can still go.

What time do we want to meet up? noonish for lunch? That is what I was thinking, that and the drive up there would be nice and cool.

It's located at Exit 368A on IH 35. The road near it is called country road 4282. I've never been there but I just thought it' bee a good place to meet. Noonish sounds good. I'll pm you my info so we can communicate in case one of us gets lost.
