forum police
Having a crap day today so I decided to take a break from work and buzz over to FTE and check responses to '50 Ford question I posted over the weekend. To my surprise I found a private message from the moderator saying I should "create a signature block that is more in tune with the Ford trucks we all love". Here's my offensive signature block:
April 15th got you down? There is a better way: fairtax.org
I get alot of value out of the old truck forums over there, enjoy contributing, and don't want to get banned for saying what I really feel, but gull darnit, don't they have anything better to do than critique signature blocks? So much for improving my day....I'll probably get banned over there for what I've posted here. Geez...

re: forum police
Thats typical over there.
My very first post overthere they edited the "non ford" stuff out of my signature (The very same one I use every where) but didn't change the post above mine where the guy had a dodge and some sort of tractor in his signature.
Hey Ken, if you are reading this: and GTH.

Update: forum police
Changed signature to:
Wanted: Unoffensive, non-controversial, politically correct, vanilla post signature. Inquire within.
We'll see how that goes...

re: forum police
I was looking at some photo galleries one time, and I saw this picture that a guy had posted of his ford truck pulling a dodge out of a mudhole. Then under that, one of FTEs moderators had put that he can only show pictures of Ford trucks, not any other trucks. The truck was PULLING the DODGE out!

Hmmmm... I have ambivalent feelings on this one. I can see FTE's point in wanting to avoid political commentary or seemingly political sloganeering in the forums. Granted, FTE is a bit extreme at times but I don't think a private message from a moderator trying to do a good job is really offensive. Of course, I'm still a member of the dastardly group so I may be biased.

All that FTE site cares about is money. Try to post a helpful link and they tell you that one must use there sponsors. I would not even be supprised if they did not drive ford trucks.

That's very tempting to go out with bang! The problem is that I own no '67 - '72 trucks (although wife is a '67 model ).

Well pretend that your wife is a Ford and you're OK.
Big Props for being part of Fairtax. I'm not super active but am a supporter. Get rid of the IRS as it has grown to exist and we could do some great things.

re: forum police
I try to keep my feelings about the FTE out of my post here.
This site is just about the trucks, fixing the truck, and meeting people that own the trucks and thats it.
FTE owners admin and the mods are WAY OUT THERE.
