Opinion please ( Drink holder )

Post by 67F250CS »

I am wanting to upgrade the inside a bit and I ran across these pics of drinkholders. I like the look of these. Anyone seen this or used it. I dont remeber where the photos came from. If its a members truck, I would like to hear how hard it was to make them.

i think they look real good myself but it seems to close to the dash and the drink may get in the way of looking at the gagues. if i did something about a drink holder i think i would go with the newer ford drink holder that attach to the seat in the center. they are good for my other two trucks why not my 68. i also had an idea to mount my radio on the floor board in front of that because i didn't want to modify my radio bezel. maybe i could make it all one piece out of plywood with a nice stain and i could mount the speakers in the side of the box for the radio.

The only problem I would see is that you might nail your knee where it is at.

Might not be the best if you need to move your leg quickly from the gas to the brake.

Otherwise it looks great.

Good gracious, what size drink you taking with you Fordman? Seriously, that does look pretty snazzy.
I don't recall seeing those pics before...are they from this site? I haven't seen them all of course, but I reckon 90% at least.

It sure beats a cardboard cut-out held on by 100mph tape huh?

Yes, those were custom-made by one of our own forum members, 'fisheye'. Here's a link to his photo album:

This place has some billet aluminum drink holders similar to the custom one pictured above. They range from $60 - $100 depending on the style (single, double, horizontal/vertical mount, slide out, rotate out) but they only appear in the hardcopy catalog... I can't find pics online.

Although not as snazzy LMC sells one like it, painted black that slides into your ashtray space. I have one and love it. Pricey though at $40.00
