swb 68 4x4

Post by whiteblur »

How much would a good rolling chasis from a 68 4x4 swb F100 be worth?
disc brakes, granny four speed, 9in rear, not sure about the front, with a Inline 6.

Whatever you can get for it. I'd ask $250 for it and after nobody cared to even make an offer on it end up scrapping it for $100 to get it out of my way.

Depends on your area... In Dustin's area he can buy a highboy for a couple hundred bucks... in other areas they are $4,000 for the same condition highboy, at least.

Around my area, california, I'd say $300-$400, but really it just depends on if someone is looking or not. If someone is really looking for a rolling chassis then they will pay for it..

thats the way it does happen. no one wants it until its gone. and then you wish you have a pile of the stuff to sell them.

That's not really the case, but an $800 driving highboy here seems to get advertized for a few grand in rust belt areas.

The questions pretty hard to answer specifically. You have to be the judge of what it's worth in your area because area has such a bearing on the price you can get. The shortbed 4x4 trucks aren't growing on trees, but people with fistfulls of cash aren't fighting over them either.

I know this is 2 years old, but....do you still have it? Where are you located? Is the 6 banger a 240 or 300?
