attaching pics to a post

Post by tidybowl »

OK, I'm almost 60 and I've been on a computer for the last 20 years but I can't for the life of me figure out how to attach a picture to a post. The site "help questions" were great. I did what it said and every time it stops and tells me "the file is too big" I tried to put the picture into a zip file and make it smaller. No luck. I'm using my wife's old computer with Windows 7 ( I had XP at work) and I don't see any way to down size the jpeg file. :help:

The best way to do it is go to www.photobucket.com and get a free account. Upload all of your photos to your photobucket account. Once a picture is uploaded there, you can put your cursor over the picture and a drop down menu will appear with 4 links to the picture. Click on the 4th link (bottom one) and it will COPY. Then right click your mouse in your post here on Fordification, and PASTE the link in your message. When you save your post, the picture will magically appear there.

It is a waste of time to try and upload your pictures directly here to this site. Just use Photobucket and store all of your photos there. It is the easiest way to go.

God Bless you. I don't have to go to the rest home after all. OK, that's where my 23 year old son said I needed to go and find my computer answers. Ford Friends ROCKImage. :D

The thing I don't like about photobucket is that when someone later deletes their pics from their account, they are gone frome their posts forever. Run into that a fair amount on turbomustangs. I use an add on that allows you to just right click and pick what size to make it, then post the smaller version. Will have to see if I can look it up, I'm not really computer-awesome myself lol.
