Shocks and spring bushings?

Post by mkitchen »

My 71 is coming along nicely and the next project is to replace the shocks and spring bushings. I remember reading somewhere on this forum (this forum has been a life-saver) that there was a prefered shock for the 3/4 ton highboys. Can someone enlighten me as what shock would be best and where a fellow might be able to order them? Also, I have not been able to find poly bushings but LMC has stock replacements, are they an ok fit?
I will put an update in the gallery to show what has been done so far.

I went with Doesch on my 2wd Prerunner set up. They were good to deal with. On the spring bushings, I bought some from Jeff's Bronco Graveyard I am sure Moog makes a good set as well.
