IMO, the price is at least double what it should be unless there is something special about the engine.

the bed looks good in the pics... I would imagine that if its a runner a guy could swap out a bunch of parts and turn it for the same money, keeping the best parts for himself. I believe the value is there, not saying its a great deal but not bad if it runs.

A good short bed (just the bed) is tough to find for under $600. So I don't think $1200 for that truck is bad in this market. Maybe in other parts of the country you can get them for less, but for a mostly rust free short bed in SoCal, you are not going to find many for sale and when you do, you have to pay for them. I bought a short bed truck a little ways back just for the frame and the bed alone. Parted out the rest of the truck and made over $1200 for everything else. So that truck for $1200 is a pretty good investment if you want a short bed.

If that was a long bed truck, I would agree with you. But short bed trucks are in higher demand and are harder to come by.

Rich said it all!!!
this is not a long bed its a short bed! just like the chevys the shorts are the ones people seem to like better!! they just look sporter more hot rodder like than the long beds .If I had the money I buy in a heart beat and fip it for 2000
hell I payed 2000 for mine and the body was not as good as this truck but got a rebuilt motor in mine!
I think I'll just go and take a closer look at it and let you all know me as well to see if its a deal or crap

I thought the guy said it was sold the other night but its not they called me back today to look at it!!
Well I did go look at it .. well its a running 302 but has a bad freeze plug ,,its a 68 not a 69 the bed is not the best shape there's rust holes in the bed, the cab and front end is ok. The interior looks like what you see in a junk yard (there's a hole in the floor where the cover should go)!! its a steel grille,it needs tires.. .....but the biggest thing I seen is there is no door vin it has a State-reassigned vehicle identification vin on the door jam ( I was wtf is up with this tag he had no idea)!!! he's moving and he's got to sell it. I said the best I could do is 500. he didn't like that I thought the guy said it was sold the other night but its not they called me today to look at it!!
