Wheel Size question

Post by tod-hog »

Got line on some 16.5" rims. Never had any rims this size. Any concerns fitting my 68 or clearance issues? Any of you with any experience here please share the knowledge.

Tires! Good luck finding tires! I spent a long time finding some truck slot mags for mine and now when this set of General Grabber street tires wear out I don't know what I'm gonna do.

then i would think they would fit then. even with tires clearing the fenders. but like 68f250 said finding tires might be a chore or they may be expensive when you do find them.

Why do you desire the 15" rims?

They still make 12x16.5 tires. I got 5 a year ago. About 150$ a pop.
Took me an hour on the phone to find them. Find an older guy, as the
younger ones will look them up in the tractor tires section of their catalog.

You know that you have to fill those tires with water right?

I want to see somebody get a 16.5 to seat on a 15" rim. That would be
fun to watch.

Hint, Hint.
Hey guys, if a 16.5 gets low on air, the tire falls off the wheel. If you gots
a wide wheel, it can get kinda interesting putting it back on.

Some of the elder people here can explain it better. :)

Radial tires are just a fad anyway, you know like the Frisbee!

Bias-ply Tires Rule!

FYI: All the people who know about tires are hoarding them up, that's why they've become so scarce.

When the rest of the galaxy realizes the superiority of 16.5 Bias-ply tires they really have to pay form 'em. And you thought that the oil companies where price gougers!!!
