Brake & Clutch pedal assembly - 1967 F100

Post by eyezuk »

The 2 side bushings and bracket are worn out on my brake and clutch assembly. javascript:emoticon('')
Crying The brake and clutch are floppy. I thought I could use the assembly out of my 65 f100 parts truck, but it does not fit my 67 f100. Does anyone know where I can find a brake and clutch assembly for a 1967 f100 without paying an arm and leg? Thanks!

Those are a one-year-only item...however, the assembly from a '68-'72 will bolt right up. Of course, you'd have to also use a matching master cylinder.

Or you could just send the whole assembly to this guy, Mustang Steve, and for about $80 he'll rebuild the assembly with ball bearings, which are unlikely to ever wear out.

$40 will get you the kit to do it yourself, but you'll need a welder, or someone who can weld it up for you.

And yes, this works for ANY type clutch linkage, not just the Mustangs (although the bearings may need to be a different size)

Thanks Keith and Paul! I think I will try Mustang Steve. I already have the assembly apart so some spot welding shouldn't be that tough. I appreciate the info!
