lowering ?

Post by Joshpow »

I was wondering if anyone knew if you have to re-align one of these trucks after you put lowering springs on it. I was going to lower mine with 2 in drop springs in front and remove the helper spring in back. If anyone knows the answer please let me know. Also, if anyone has pics of one lowered this way please post them for me. If it has to be re-aligned, can places like midas etc do it or do you have to find a specialty shop for this.

Thanks,
Josh

If you lower your truck, your camber will be off. If it is way off then you will probably have to get dropped i-beams. The twin i-beam cannot be brought back to the correct camber if you raise or lower your truck more than about 2". I have seen people drive with a 2-3" drop, they just change the tires more often.
