Post by 1970F250SC »

im building a center console for my truck, to go inbetween the dash/transmission hump/ and the seat, its going to come down from the dash, and then come level, ur just a bit higher then the level of the seat, have 2 drink holders, and have a spot for a radio/cd player, my cb, and gages(oil pres, water temp, amperage), its gettin made out of plywood, and then covered in "luan" and probably a black ebony finish, ill post pix as i go.. any other ideas are welcome

Good place to mount any toggle switches, too, should you find yourself incorporating them in your truck.

Want to see those pics when you get to them, this is a cool idea!

I'll be interested in how it turns out. I'm going to build one come spring once I swap some buckets in. Debating on different ideas for how to do it.
Bumpless for now...

I hope you guys keep us posted...Before this summer I want to completely redo my interior--the original is getting worn out...I'd like to maybe get some buckets and a console out of a '70's era Ford....Something to put a CD player and some speakers in,and what the heck, cup holders and change holders for the toll booth...Another thing I considered was going all out and putting power windows in,with the switches in the console...
This is the point...I'm....talking about everybody! I'm talking about form! I'm talking about content! I'm talking about interrelationships! I'm talking about God, the devil, hell, heaven!!!! Do you understand???? Finally!!!!

I made one for my 71. Have bucket seats and i made it to come down from dash and then back between the seats. Covered it with carpeting and put my guages and stereo in it.Put a slot in it for my b7m shifter to stick up through.
